Thrrum.com have released a visual browser application that will enable compatible cameraphone users (limited to Sont Ericsson at the moment) to search via a photograph.

Take a photo, and with the visual browser, search directly for more information.

The application currently costs $5.99, for 12 months visual searching and is available for the following mobiles…..

• K790
• K800
• K810
• K850
• K650

So is this the way forward for search or just another gadget application? If you are searching for a real estate listing form a ‘For Sale’ board, it might be quicker and easier to go to the url listed on the board. If you are trying to tie up details from an advertising billboard, this search may give a broader range of results, and $5.99 is not a lot to try it out, if you are a Sony Ericsson owner.
