28 Days Later – Just dotty

The release of 28 Days Later on DVD, is heralded with a poster that includes a QR code (QR for Quick Response). And following up from this post on searching from your phone, this seems most timely.

Although these little boxes of dots are not new, the prevalence of camera phones in the UK suggests that the time is right for them to pop up everywhere. Load up your cameraphone with a QR reader (Some phones like the Nokia N93 come preloaded), and the small bar code like image can be decoded to provide a web address, telephone number of snippet of text.
