NTL, the cable TV and phone company has agreed to buy Virgin Mobile.

The deal is said to be worth up to 985 million pounds ($1.7 billion)  Roll Eyes , for a company that is only 6 years old.

No doubty NTL are looking to get away from their poor customer service record and improve their image as well as offering a total package to their enlarged customer base.

Wow, Richard Branso is set to get a pile more cahs! £8 million a year for 30 years, I heard, thats some 'pension' provision!

I see Virgin Mobile and NTL are in trouble today over reports they tried to hush up the fact that the founder and chief executive is leaving, which was announced yesterday.
