With the announcement from Apple of the iPhone, will other mobile phone companies change their products to compete, or is Apple's venture into the communications market a little late and unnecessary?

Here are the details on Apple iPhone. Now tell us what you think.

Hey this phone looks way cool, particularly with the built in motion sensors and large screen.

Hopefully they will be able to be used in a range of gaming applications, but I worry that it is MAC OS based, and MS are making a big play for the Smartphone market. The price is steep particulraly if it converts directly $ to £ which has happened in the past (or near enough). That sad I am sure they will fly off the shelves.
