The Philippines are considering plans to tax every text message sent (at 165 million a day that could be a lot of tax).

There are alternative plans only to tax text based games and surveys or to ensure the tax is not passed onto the subscriber.

They say that the tax wont be passed onto the subscriber, but how can that be policed, really? The phone companies will still want to make nice proftis.
